Florida DOE Receives $4 Million for Agricultural Training

The U.S. Department of Labor  will make $83.9 million in grants through the National Farmworker Jobs Program to combat unemployment and underemployment experienced by migrant and seasonal farmworkers.

A total of $78.3 million will go to organizations nationally to provide training, employment and support for farmworkers and their families, which includes $4.1 million to the Florida Department of Education, a press statement said.

An additional $5.7 million will go to organizations that provide temporary or permanent housing assistance, some located in Florida.
