Please accept my apologies and this late reply. I have been unable to devote any time or attention to the Forum quite a while and I am only now able to have a free hour or two to work on it. I hope I have more time soon. Because of the legal issues, I suggest that you contact: the nearest Mexican consulate, the UFW (www.ufw.org), and Farmworker Justice (farmworkerjustice.org). These organizations will have the best information for you and/or can refer you to the best organization to contact.

For example, you have (1) bracero who worked more days and more hours than most, should’nt that person have more funds towards their benefits… I THINK SO ! Who’s doing the math for this program ? Wake up people, your family may be entitled to more than 4,000. I read something a few years back that the benefits to be paid out was 11,000. Big difference. Stay on top of this people and best of luck to all the BRACEROS AND THEIR FAMILY’S.
